On Thursday, designer Nicholas K unveiled his fall/ winter 2016 collection he calls, “Arcosanti.”
In press materials, Nicholas K cites, Paolo Soleri — the architect /visionary founder of Arcosanti. “Arcology recognizes the necessity for radical reorganization of sprawling urban landscape into dense, integrated, three-dimensional cities in order to support the complex activities that sustain human culture.”
“Arcosanti’s message is that ‘life is in the thick of things.’ We are not futurists. We are not trying to predict the future with this project; we are trying to design it out of what we know about the present,” Nicholas K quotes, Jeff Stein, president of the Crosanti Foundation.
