The International Institute of Cosmetology with campuses in Wethersfield and Plainville has showcased its students’ successes with IIC graduates attaining the highest Cosmetology State Board Exam scores in the state with an average score of 92.97 percent for 2015 and a 100 percent pass rate on the exam since opening its doors in 2002.
Through resources such as Pivot Point’s online learning platform, LAB (Learn About Beauty), IIC’s exclusive partnership with Pivot Point, as well as its proprietary methods, a press release from IIC said the school is able to provide students with content delivered in a way that is tailored to individual learning styles.
Marie Bobair, IIC’s director of education, noted, the press release said, “When students are engaged, they can correlate the content into meaningful real-world connections.”
The school stands behind its successful students with its motto, coined by IIC founder Carmelo Gugliotti, said the release “Our success depends on your success.” In support of this, the release said IIC administrators have assembled a diverse faculty who reinforce techniques with an emphasis on hands-on experience that former students have attested was invaluable in preparing them to step directly into their careers after graduation. Student designers are encouraged to do more than just master techniques, they are taught to “see, think, create, and adapt all facets of their work,” creating the best possible results for their clients. IIC is also well known for providing students and alumni with professional experiences that aren’t available at other cosmetology schools such as regularly bringing in stylists from around the world to give hands-on instruction and supporting student participation in domestic and international competitions, the release said.
