Why do you like modeling?
You are constantly meeting new people and, for a few hours, working with these strangers as a team to make a vision a reality. Also, I simply love dressing up and being on stage/in front of a camera.
Your fashion icons and why?
- Local artist Jonathan David Frachette: He wears whatever he is inspired to wear, resulting in some truly unique ensembles. That amount of freedom and creativity is inspiring.
2.1940s/50s women: being all about restriction and social acceptance, these eras are the complete opposite of Jonathan, but I find the elegance, glamour and femininity of the styles of these eras to be immensely appealing and inspiring.
Your favorite designer and why?
I LOVE Iris Van Herpen’s designs. It is true love. They are fairytales come to life.
Describe your wardrobe choices when you’re not modeling?
I strive for comfort + simplicity + class, but generally find myself in skinny jeans and sneakers. I really dislike skinny jeans, so I’m not sure why I wear them so much.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Hmmmm… ummmmm… well…. I mean, like… ummm… I always hate this question. I’m sure I have plenty, but I can never think of an answer.
The one thing you can never leave home without?
Shoes? House keys? A bra? The obvious answer would be my cellphone, but I have a knack for losing/forgetting mine, so I leave home without it plenty. I’ve survived without it and lived to tell the tale, so I don’t think my phone qualifies as something I cannot leave home without.
Favorite music?
Celtic, Jewish, gypsy, Mayan, ‘50s pop and rock n’ roll, opera (particularly the music from “Phantom of the Opera”), and the works of Johnny Cash, Sarah Brightman, Lana Del Ray, Hozier, and Melanie Martinez. I also really like Selena Gomez’s album “Revival” and various classical pieces.
Favorite food?
Anything dripping in cheese.
