Save-A-Suit, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports military veterans in need and Studio 466 Salon & Spa in Plainville are partnering to award three female veterans with a complete makeover. This VIP experience includes a hair cut, color, and style, facial waxing, makeup application, and a professional outfit. All services are complimentary to winning contestants.
To apply, e-mail veterans@saveasuit.org with the subject line “Glam-Up.” In 300 words or less, describe the challenges you have faced as a female veteran transitioning back to civilian life, and what this makeover would mean to you.
Interested veterans should submit their name, phone number and short essay by Friday, Aug. 26. Late applications will be disqualified.
Veterans applying must be available for the event date of Monday, Sept. 19 and must have their own transportation to Plainville.
The three selected veterans will be announced on Monday, Aug. 29.
