The designers were in place. And now the bodies who will wear the clothes have come on board.
On Sunday at Art Space in Hartford, dozens of models—mostly women with a few stray men—attended a casting call for the second installment of Hartford Fashion Week.
After models signed in and received a number, each took at least one runway walk past the 10 designers. The designers took notes on what they saw and then some of the models were called back for a second walk through. And a few more were called for a third time so the designers could be sure that they had their line-up.
By the end of the afternoon, the 10 designers had their model crew on board.
The designers this year are: Theo’s of Hartford; Troy Anthony; Crinkled Chiffon; ShirleyMarie; Saints by S.J.; FasChinn; Zoe Ilana Grinfeld; LàMoo Designs; EKBallroom; and Matthew Reisman.
Hartford Fashion Week will be held at Union Station in Hartford. On Oct. 14 and 15, there will be runway shows. On Oct. 16, there will be a trade show.
