How would you describe your style aesthetic?
Hmmm, I don’t know exactly my style. I just create. I guess chic, fun, sexy, glamorous, and bejeweled.
What inspired you to be a designer?
My role model was my dad who was self-taught tailor. I would snatch leftover pieces of fabric that he was using, hand-stitch them into tiny fashion statements for my dolls. Eventually, I graduated fashion design in Poland and now after many years away from the trade I was drawn back into it, creating the KARO Swimwear line.
Who is your fashion icon and why?
I don’t have one. I enjoy different styles but not necessarily follow trends. I like to be different and create my own style. As far as designers, I love Ralph Lauren and his laidback creations.
What celebrity—living or dead—or fictional character would you like to dress and what would you make for them?
Well I do have a few. But I would love to design a bikini for Pink. I think I could create something insane for her to rock on the beach. Just love, love her!
