Why do you like modeling?
I like modeling because every opportunity is a new experience. I see shows as spectacles, be it a fashion show, dance or theater performance, etc. Transcending the audience is the goal, and to give them a moment to observe a different style and creation is fun for me. Photographs can do the same thing. Working in teams and collaborating is something I enjoy.
Your fashion icons and why?
I admire Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Beyonce. Tyra Banks is also fierce, can be sassy, and in the moment. Naomi Campbell and Gisele Bundchen are breathtaking too. To me, they all embody the strength and versatility that it takes to be successful.
Your favorite designer and why?
Each one is special and unique! I appreciate working and getting to know the artists themselves rather than favor a big name. Some that I’ve met and really enjoyed working with are AER Collections, Kojo, and Zoe Grinfeld, all of which are from Connecticut. These designers have a special flair and personality that is pleasant to work with, and they are also innovative and exciting.
Describe your wardrobe choices when you’re not modeling?
I like what feels good. Soft materials, loose and stretchy sometimes, but also has to look good, haha. I wear a lot of black too, and fitness clothes at some point almost every day.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate! Caramel Macchiatos! and people-watching.
The one thing you can never leave home without?
I could say my phone. But a close friend recently showed me an amazing daily planner that is also an inner guide to better living. It suggests quotes and concepts to keep you mindful and present while able to organize your plans.
Favorite music?
I’ll listen to anything, but country is kind of boring to me. Cruising aimlessly to A Tribe Called Quest, Rihanna, or Nicki Minaj makes me happy. But in general, a variety of indie, house, hip hop and R&B.
Favorite food?
I love it all! I’m Italian and I think its special to make it with or for someone. But I usually crave going out for Japanese, Ethiopian, or Thai food.
