Surrounded by gothic gravestones with a 19th century chapel looming over the hill top, Redfield Designs unveiled a collection of clothes that evoked the Victorian era.
Kathryn Paterwic’s runway show was one of the centerpieces of the fundraiser, “From Gothic to Light: A Day of Art, History, Music and Fashion.” The event was a benefit for Middletown, Conn.’s The Chapel at Indian Hill, located in the historic Indian Hill Cemetery. It was organized by Jennifer Sequenzia and All American Productions as a fundraiser to help the chapel.
The models for Redfield Designs, with their hair by Kelly Lauzon of Glastonbury’s Hair Kissed and makeup by Ashley Woods, (and a few volunteers who were in the gothic spriit– took time away from the runway show to pose among the historic gravemarkers at Indian Hill, evoking the eerie feel that befitted the event.
