When you see them compete for a crown, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, business attire, and swimsuits are the uniforms of necessity. But what do titleholders wear when the sash and crown are stashed away.
Meet Mia Hwang, Miss New England PreTeen 2016.
“For everyday, my style would be what some consider, very ‘extra.’ I like to dress to impress and I’m not afraid to go to school wearing a new sundress and wedges. As Oscar Wilde once said, ‘You can never be overdressed or overeducated.’.
“On the other hand, when I’m hanging out at home I dress for comfort. You can find me in sweatpants and a soccer jersey. Most of all, I try to stay true to myself and my style reflects that.”
