Yes, there were crowns and sashes at the annual Miss Wolcott pageant Nov. 4 in Wolcott, Conn.
After all, Alexandria Gianelli is the new Miss Wolcott; Ava Onofreo is the new Miss Wolcott’s Outstanding Teen; and Morgan Mancini is the new Miss Farmingbury’s Outstanding Teen.
But there also was fashion. There was attire appropriate for a job with a new boss in Manhattan. There were evening gowns. There were costumes to highlight their talent, whether it was dance or singing. There were swimsuits designed to highlight the fitness of contestants, as well as athleisure wear.
Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen will be held at Waterbury’s Palace Theater June 5 to 9.
