Warm thoughts of fashion on a cold eve

With temperatures sitting below zero and sidewalks sitting below a foot of snow, visions of summer probably are filling the heads of many Connecticut residents.
But for Connecticut denizens of fashion filling The Russell on Pratt Street Saturday, Jan. 6, visions of a “summer fashion explosion” were filling their heads.
The NYSFE Soiree held on this weekend eve served two primary purposes. It served as a local introduction to the June 23 New York Summer Fashion Explosion runway show when the weather turns warmer. It also celebrated the transition of NYSFE magazine from an annual to a quarterly.
It also served as a networking party for the creative forces for NYSFE, such as Chat It Up host Jessi-Mar Ewart and model/runway coach Destiny Tenille, to meet the local photographers, bloggers, editors, writers, and models and to get those same individuals to network with each other.
Wine and cocktails flowed and appetizers were nibbled as guests flipped through copies of NYSFE magazine, and engaged in raffles and games that tested their fashion knowledge.

Seen here are some of the models in attendance engaging in an impromptu photo shoot at The Russell and interacting with guests at the NYSFE Soiree.
