When you see them compete for a crown, evening gowns, cocktail dresses, business attire, athleisure wear, and swimsuits are the uniforms of necessity. But what do titleholders wear when the sash and crown are stashed away.
Meet Julia Pahl, Miss Hartford County’s Outstanding Teen of the Miss America Organization.
“Going out with my friends usually calls for a rather fun and comfortable type of outfit like leggings or jeans with a cute top and my hair down with a bit of curl to it,” Julia said. “However, sometimes I like to change it up with a romper or casual dress. If I’m in the mood, I may decide to straighten my hair for a totally different look. I always like to accessorize with a pair of earrings, a pearl choker style necklace, and rings. Last, but not least, I’m all about the shoes. So any chance I get to show off a new pair of shoes makes me happy! To me, style is a self-expression so I encourage young girls to be their own kind of beautiful!”
When she’s just taking it easy, Julia said, “I typically wear a pair of leggings, joggers or sweatpants when I want to kick back and relax. A loose sweatshirt is always a must and my hair is usually in a loose bun. Slip on sneakers are currently my go to. I might accessorize with a few pieces of jewelry but I go light on my makeup; very little, if any.”
