Styled by Jazz reached back to her heritage with a spring collection that dazzled the eye with an array of vivacious African prints at Hartford Fashion Week at the Colt Armory in Hartford on April 20.
However, designer Jazzmine avoided turning the collection into a mere ethnic costume. Through a mix of intriguing silhouettes and a “sexiness” and “cool vibe,” the clothes were transformed into garments that were just at home as celebrating the arrival of the weekend or more formal affairs.
One indicator of a fashion line’s success is the energy exuded by the models walking down the runway. And the energy was palpable as model after model walked past the Connecticut fashion fans.
