FASCHINN’s latest fashion line dubbed “Wild Heart” is not for a woman who wants to slip quietly into the good night.
It’s for the woman who wants to make some noise and make a statement.
Watching the bold, bright, vivid, colorful, cool, and brash collection walk the runway at Hartford Fashion Week at the Colt Armory on April 20, two musical icons came to mind.
First, I thought of Tina Turner.
Not the Tina of the 1980s shag haircut, but the Tina of the 1960s. This was a Tina, who grabbed rock and roll and soul by the throat, upstaged the Rolling Stones, and essentially was her own alternative energy source full of lightning and thunder as she shook her hips, her mini-skirt, and fringe to “Proud Mary” and “River Deep Mountain High.”
I also thought of Cardi B, a pop star unabashedly in charge of her image, and who is unafraid to flaunt her sexuality and sensuality to the world. Every piece of Cardi B’s wardrobe is a “STATEMENT”– written, yes, in all capitals.
And somewhere along those two raucous paths, FASCHINN finds itself.
