For the graduating students at the International Institute of Cosmetology in Plainville, Conn. and Wethersfield, Conn. http://www.studyhair.com, the hair runway show at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville, Conn. was their chance to say, “Look what I learned and look at what I can do.”
But backstage, before the music cued up and the stage lights beamed on the catwalk, the students were in the process of “doing,” shaping their models into what they, up to that point, only dreamt up in their imagination.
This is what happened behind the curtains on Oct. 14.
