Aspiring young models mingled with professionals at Society Fashion Week on Feb. 10 in New York City.
Gathered in the lower level of Harlem Parish, an event space carved out of an old church, the youths of fashion patiently sat in chairs with hair stylists and makeup artists hovering over them to transform them into runway perfect shape. Off to the side, designers stood over the racks of their collections to pondering which of their creations looked best for each model.
Among the models with dreams of Paris and Milan were veteran models cast for the shows. Victoria Henley, who competed in “America’s Next Top Model” cycle 19, was among the name models mingling with the young girls.
This was the scene backstage at Society Fashion Week.
