An Empowered Girls Rise Rally “Let the Queen That Lies Within You” was presented at Wolcott High School on Jan. 12.
Carol Jurzyk, Ambassador for Empowered Girls Rise and of Inner Beauty Life Coaching, offered a free day of empowering workshops.
Alyssa Taglia, anchor for WTNH and former Miss Connecticut 2016, was the keynote speaker. Stephanie LaBonte, founder of Empowered Girls Rise, shared her visions of the program.
The event featured workshops including “Facing Fears” by Jillian Harpin, a competitor in adaptive sports; “Self Confidence” by Leanna Tsangarides, owner of Mindful Healing, “Ace the Interview” by Irma Reyes, owner at New Grand LLC; and a presentation by Shelly Carter founder and director at Girl’s Future Firefighter Camp.
The panel discussion included Bridget Oei, Miss Connecticut 2018; Serena Charbonneau from The Butterfly Effect; Louise Cornetta, digital audio program Director at ESPN; Shelly Carter, founder and director at the Girl’s Future Firefighter Camp; and Julie Graham of Nx by Julie LLC.

To continue the power of empowerment, Inner Beauty is offering a free Passion, Power and Purpose Networking Event Thursday, Feb. 28 at 6 p..m at Shebeen’s Brewery. Christine Moffo Thorn, a Konmari consultant, will be the featured speaker.
