Gown maker launches effort to help hungry

In response to COVID-19, fashion house Faviana Intl. has launched a national initiative to give back to the millions of vulnerable children who have been impacted by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

“At the heart of our company, there has always been a spirit of togetherness that inspires our creativity, our confidence and most importantly our support for one another. In the past couple weeks, that spirit has never wavered. Giving back is at the core of who we are and all we do,” explained Omid Moradi, Faviana’s chief executive officer in a press release.

Faviana makes gowns and dresses for weddings, proms, and cocktail parties.

The new initiative encourages the Faviana community to post a photo of themselves on Instagram in a moment of positivity using the hashtag, #CelebrateYourself.

In response, Faviana will donate $1 for each post, to the No Kid Hungry campaign.

No Kid Hungry is a national campaign run by Share Our Strength, a nonprofit working to solve problems of hunger and poverty in the United States and around the world. The organization facilitates culinary events, individual donations and uses social media to raise money, which is used to fund long-term solutions to the hunger problem.

“We believe everyone has the power to be a changemaker. Together with our incredible community, we cannot wait to raise as much money as possible for children struggling nationwide”, Navid Moradi, Faviana’s Chief Operations Officer, noted in the press release.

With the #CelebrateYourself campaign, the press release said Faviana invites their community to advocate for positivity during this difficult and dynamic time.

As an incentive to give back to a crucial cause, Faviana is offering free virtual styling appointments and consultations.
