John Wesley was a visionary. A cleric and evangelist, he worked toward reforming the Church of England and along the way he established what is known as the Methodist church.
Alli Forbidussi, 15, attempts to embody the ideal of John Wesley, she said.
“Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, in every place you can, at all the times you can, with all the zeal you can, as long as ever you can,” the aspiring fashion model said quoting the 18th century theologian.
Alli was a recent winner at Magnifique at the Black Fox Resort, Pigeon Forge, Tenn. on Aug. 29. Magnifique Fashion Shows and Competitions are produced by Victoria Henley from “America’s Next Top Model,” Cycle 19.
With Wesley in mind, Alli is in her church youth group and leads the nursery children. She works as a volunteer at a local food pantry program called God’s Bread. The teen and her family help out at many cancer and Huntington’s Disease events. In August 2020, the family put on the Eighth annual Ann’s 5K race in honor of Alli’s grandmother and uncle, both of whom live with HD. Thus far, they have raised over $20,000 toward the cause.
Friends say Alli is a friend to everyone she meets. She embraces life no matter what comes her way. She loves to make people laugh and feel included.
Alli also likes to be out in the world exploring what life can offer. She enjoys being in musicals and has played Pepper in the show, “Annie” and Lucy in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
