New York Bridal Fashion Week is going digital once again when designers offer their fall winter 2021 collections from April 6-8. LoveStories TV (LoveStoriesTV.com) got a jump on the digital event this week when it invited the Calla Blanche house of bridal gowns in to show videos of its current spring summer 2021 collection.

Bita Poushin of the bridal design house showed off the three brands under the Calla Blanche (CallaBlanche.com) umbrella: the namesake original plus L’Amore and La Perla.

“We focus on elegant and timeless bridal looks,” said Poushin as she presented the newest looks from the Ontario, Canada-based brand. Calla Blanche offers everything from “big beautiful ball gowns… to classic mermaids.” The gowns also offer classic satin, tulle and appliques for the classic kind of bride.

Although the gowns offer a traditional look, Poushin said Calla Blanche is still fashion forward.

Of the Calla Blanche brands, L’Amour is the “more sexy” division, with modern, trending looks.

“It’s fun and flirty,” said Poushin.

La Perla, Poushin said, is for the “unconventional” bride. She said the gowns are directed toward the “boho bride” and the “country girl.” Someone, she said, who is not “overly fussy.”

There are plenty of satin and silk fabrics used in the Calla Blanche brands that offer a luxurious feel, said Poushin. There are also plenty of floral motifs and “whimsical” details in the spring line.

One of the details on the new gowns pointed out by Poushin was the off the shoulder looks. “That’s been all the rage,” said Poushin. Also, several of the gowns presented had detachable sleeves, which is a “fun” detail for brides, said Poushin.
