Model Ji’Rea King refuses to be held back by perceived limitations.
“I’ve wanted to be a model since I was 7-years-old, but I never had the confidence I didn’t think I was pretty or tall enough to do that,” said Ji’Rea.
Now, however, Ji’Rea said, “My goal in becoming a model is not only to make my dreams a reality, but to encourage other women to do the same, no matter where they come from.”
“A motto I live by is ‘the sky is the view, never the limit’ and I want to show these ladies watching me that with determination and dedication, they too can achieve what they never thought was possible,” said Ji’Rea, who was a winner at Magnifique Showcase in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. on May 22.
“For me, the crown is a symbol of responsibility,” said Ji’Rea. “It’s very easy to try and put each other down in an attempt to boost your own confidence; but is something really empowering if it’s at the cost of another woman’s self-worth?”
“I want to show people that you can still acknowledge another’s beauty and uplift them as well,” Ji’Rea.
Magnifique Showcase is organized by former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Victoria Henley.
