She took a different road

Although Savannah Rae’s music style these days sits squarely in the category of country music, with a pop of pop rock coloring, an “alternative” route brought her to the world of music.

Savannah was a recent winner at Magnifique Showcase, a fashion competition held by former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Victoria Henley in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. on May 22.

Savannah describes herself as “an all-American country and pop rock singer-songwriter who proudly hails from San Antonio, Texas.”

But to reach that particular career point, a then-11-year-old attended a concert by alternative rock band Evanescence (“Bring Me to Life”). After seeing Amy Lee and her crew rock out on the stage, Savannah enrolled for vocal and guitar lessons at Grammy award winning Michael Morales’ Rockstar Academy.

Even before Evanescence won her heart, Savannah said she already predisposed to becoming a performer. She was born into a music and arts loving family.

From those humble beginnings, Savannah has now taken the stage in intimate venues around Texas. She even took main stage of the Texas State Fair in 2016 when she opened for Jason Aldean (“Laughed Until We Cried,” “We Back”). She has also made appearances on American Music Awards and on NBC’s “The Voice.”

Savannah also has been flashing her modeling credentials as a brand ambassador for Boot Barn, Country Outfitter, C Force Water by Chuck Norris and country star Miranda Lambert’s clothing line, Idyllwind.

Savannah said she is making a big career push in 2021. She said she will be releasing a series of new songs that she wrote with Nashville songwriters Britton Cameron, Holly Lamar and country music recording artist Pam Tillis.
