Sukara Marie Fernandes, 13, has big dreams in the world of fashion.
The Houston, Texas native has been modeling since she was 9 years old. And she already has a slew of entries on her fashion resume.
Although she has been busy as a model, working in her hometown Houston as well as New York and Los Angeles, the teen has her eyes on the future.
“My biggest dreams are to be on the cover of Vogue, have my own fashion, hair care, skin care, makeup, and jewelry line, be represented by IMG Models, become a professional photographer and walk in fashion shows in Europe, London and Jamaica,” said Sukara.
Among her fashion credits is her attendance the International Modeling and Talent Association audition and search held in New York in 2018. From May 2020-August 2021, she also modeled at the Los Angeles Kidz Fashion Week live and virtual worldwide fashion shows and subsequently became a brand ambassador.
“In March of 2021, I participated in The House Of Yere Performing Arts Academy and fashion show where I modeled for Remmi Grace Couture,” said Sukara. “April 2021, I modeled in the LAKFW and Indikids Magazine ‘Back2fashion’ power shoot and fashion show in Houston. I also modeled in the LAKFW ‘Spring Fashion Extravaganza’ photoshoot in Los Angeles.”
Sukara also had the opportunity to model during New York Fashion Week in 2021, walking for Remmi Grace Couture, The International Beautiful You Fashion Tour and Paris Chic Kids Magazine.
Sukara also was a recent winner at Magnifique Showcase, which is organized by former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Victoria Henley.
Sukara, who yearns to move to London, said she is inspired by fashion models Jasmin Wijnidum, Naomi Campbell and Kenz Lawren.
