You can’t accuse Peyton Herron of lacking ambition and skill.
The 14-year-old brains of Bel Ange Couture has been designing clothes since she was 8 years old. She has shown her clothes in Miami, Chicago, Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Charlotte, N.C.
And, she has shown her pieces in New York Fashion Week numerous times. The most recent show was at Luxe Fashion on Feb. 12 at the New Yorker Hotel.
The latest collection for tweens and teens shows Peyton has a mature and a steady hand when it comes to conceptualizing and crafting her work. The line that walked at Luxe offered touches of Chanel and Cassini and sartorial references to Jackie Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn. Notes for her current work also state that the Kentucky Derby, and all of its gala activity, figured into her creative process. The fanciful hats and fascinators galore drove home the point.
