There was a heavenly feel at Society Fashion Week during Miami Swim Week on July 16.
Mila Hoffman presented a collection filled with gowns, wings, haloes… and gold in her latest collection, which she dubbed, appropriately enough the “Golden Goddess Collection.”
Mila explained that the garments, which were worn by tween and teen girls were the result of a little serendipity.
The hand of the gods, if you would.
“I was working with old flakes, painting with them on to a fabric and thought: Wouldn’t that be cool to cover models in gold flakes and dress them in bright colored gowns?” she said.
And that’s what she provided guests who ventured a stone’s throw from Little Havana in Miami proper.
