Owned and operated by visionary food entrepreneur and television star, Guy Fieri, Flavortown in downtown Pigeon Forge, Tenn. is your one-stop destination for exciting and unexpected culinary fusions, a massive arcade featuring thrilling games for the entire family, photo shoot worthy bathrooms (yes, you read that correctly), and a full service Tiki-Bar that will transport you to an island paradise, no passport required.
Adhering to the fashion of Fieri’s signature menus, Flavortown is a conglomeration of high-octane fun, eclectic and festive decor, and menu items that are sure to impress even the most discerning foodie.
Since its grand opening in March 2022, Flavortown has quickly cemented its status as the premiere location for making action-packed memories for all occasions, whether an outing with the family or date night with your special someone.
The Backstage Pass on IHeart Radio/CTFashionMag team had the opportunity to check out the Pigeon Forge Flavortown location to provide you the exclusive inside scoop on what to expect during your visit to this thrilling new attraction.
The impressive 43,000 square foot entertainment complex is filled to the brim with endless opportunities to game, relax and recharge, and pose for envy-inducing photo ops against all the swanky decor throughout the building.
Just a few of the many headlining features at Flavortown include the 14 lane duck pin bowling alley that offers a full hour of fun in the posh bowling alcove. It features state-of-the-art lanes and interactive screens where you can track your score and read little-known random facts that appear on screen intermittently throughout your playtime (sure to be a conversation starter for you and your team).
Accompanied by photographer, Lynn, and my adventurer loving travel buddy, Mimmie, I noticed throughout the duration of our game the diverse array of ages that were greatly enjoying their duck pin bowling experience.
A perfect outing for seasoned and beginner bowlers, duck pin bowling absolutely cannot be missed on any visit to Flavortown.
The arcade features over 10,000 square feet of state of the art arcade games, including beloved classics such as “Skee-Ball,“ “Down the Clown,” “Ring Toss,” and contemporary favorites such as “Ice-Man,” a high octane life-sized “Hungry Hippos” game and a “Walking -Dead “ interactive game where bone -chillingly realistic zombies attack as you throw “weapons” (aka soft tennis ball sized orange spheres) to destroy them before you are infected. (This game was consistently voted as a staff favorite during our informal survey among the extremely helpful and friendly staff members .)
In addition to serving up scrumptious cuisine and endless gaming opportunity, Flavortown is the equivalent to a gargantuan selfie station offering social media-worthy photo ops at every turn with decor including a pair of cookware-themed “angel wings” in which guests may pose, a life-size Guy Fieri statuette, a “Downtown Flavortown”-themed red carpet step and repeat, as well as a show-stopping 1969 Chevy Camaro.
Even the bathrooms at Flavortown are a focal point with television screens strategically placed along the walls highlighting music videos by iconic performers (including Madonna, Queen, Lady Gaga, and more), a self-serve mouthwash station and several neon signs brandishing the sayings, “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Shake it Up, Bake it Up, Nice, Uh,” “Sweet as Tupelo Honey”, etc.
Another key element of what makes Flavortown iconic is the 300-plus seat restaurant, featuring an overwhelmingly diverse array of Guy Fieri’s signature appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts that are sure to whet even the most elusive craving.
Oozing ultra-sleek and an effortless, accessible sophistication, the atmosphere of Flavortown’s restaurant is just as decadent as the food.
Any business is only as good as its leadership, and Fieri obviously has set a superb example for the excellent Downtown Flavortown staff, all of whom are supremely personable and helpful, displaying a genuine enthusiasm for their work.
Special thanks to Andrew Bledsoe for facilitating our visit for this spotlight feature as well as the coordinator, Hannah, Kassey B, and line cook (soon-to-be sous chef) Jeffrey for the unparalleled hospitality and customer service.
