The 2023 competition season for Miss Connecticut began on Oct. 29 with the crowning of a new Miss Bristol and a new Miss Bristol’s Outstanding Teen.
At the contest held at St. Paul Catholic High School in Bristol, Conn., Laura Christie was selected as the new Miss Bristol and Emily Anastasio was selected as the new Miss Bristol’s Outstanding Teen.
This was the first local competition held since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Christie and Anastasio will head to the state competition in April at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn.
The current Miss Connecticut is Sylvana Gonzalez. The current Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen is Peyton Troth.
Miss Connecticut is part of the Miss America Organization.
