Perhaps one of the more little know elements of what makes the house hold name brand, Dave and Busters, even more distinguishable from the crowd is their surprisingly expansive menus of expertly crafted culinary masterpieces, artfully prepared in Dave and Buster’s onsite scratch kitchen. Endless gaming opportunities, sleek and accommodating interior design that allows guests to relax and unwind, as well as a line up of libations and menu items that would be sure to impress nearly any foodie, are just a few of the myriad of reasons that Dave and Buster’s has firmly established itself as the go-to destination for a fun and memorable night out.
The monumental Dave and Buster’s franchise had, arguably, humble origins with visionary entrepreneurs, David Corriveau and James “Buster” Corley, who, respectively owned and operated a game parlor and saloon, as well as a bar just down the street in Little Rock, Arkansas. The two realized that if they joined forces, they could create a dynamic food, drink, and gaming hybrid to ultimately become an unstoppable force in the arcade and dining industries.
Today, Dave and Buster’s boasts more than 141 locations nationwide, serving millions of satisfied customers from around the world, and the balanced blend of top notch gaming opportunities, an effortlessly fun atmosphere, and top notch customer service and hospitality always keeps guests returning for more.
Backstage Pass experienced some signature items at one of our favorite locations, The Dave and Buster’s at the beautiful Broadway At the Beach in Myrtle Beach SC, and you can read all about our experience, menus recommendations, and what to expect below.
Offering an expansive selection of made from scratch, chef-inspired starters, entrees, desserts, and more, Dave and Busters is rapidly gaining widespread notoriety as a force to be reckoned with in the culinary industry. Selecting only a few dishes from the overwhelmingly large menu seemed, at first, to be a nearly impossible feat; however, we scoured the menu for the “best of the best” items you must try on your next visit:
SALAD:
Southern Cobb Salad: (crispy chicken tenders, romaine, spring mix, red onions, cucumbers, pico de Gallo, buttermilk ranch, roasted corn, cheddar, mozzarella ) Large enough to split with family and friends or enjoy as an entree.
ENTREES:
New! Manchego Chicken (grilled chicken breasts, Cremini mushrooms, machego cheese, rich and savory Hennessy Madeira Demi sauce, seared green beans, garlic mashed potatoes.)
Parmesan chicken (garlic Parmesan crusted chicken, mozzarella, linguine, grape tomato bruschetta, basil.) -Fresh handmade linguine , topped with fresh made Alfredo sauce.
Smokehouse BBQ ribs (st Louis style ribs, honey bourbon bbq with fries and traditional coleslaw. )
DESSERTS:
Strawberry Shortcake (a delectable twist on a southern classic, featuring fluffy whipped cream, strawberry purée, fresh strawberries, and fresh mint.)
Pumpkin Cheesecake (salted caramel sauce, candied pecans, whipped cream.
Due to the fact that Dave and Buster’s vast menu is nearly impossible to experience in merely one sitting, we returned on another evening to try and spotlight the appetizers you must experience on your next visit. Creative, palatable, and sizable enough to enjoy as a main dish, the Dave and Buster’s appetizers truly stand alone and would be very difficult to rival in quality and flavor by any mainstream sports bar.

SKEE BALL (a beloved classic arcade game and one of the first ever invented redemption games. Skee Ball is played by rolling a ball up an inclined lane and over a “ball-hop” hump that jumps the ball into bullseye rings.)
DOWN THE CLOWN (1 or 2 players throw balls at the mechanical clowns, and the more you knockdown, the more tickets you win! Featuring a custom canopy top, handmade clowns, LED’s and playful sound effects.)
LANE MASTER BOWLING ( Combines the physical fun of traditional alley bowling with the flexibility of a video game. Sensors detect the speed, angle, and spin of the ball, which is subsequently translated on-screen. Featuring stunning audio/visual effects and comprehensive displayed scoring, Lane Master provides a scaled down version of all the excitement of a high octane blowing tournament. )
SINK IT (Sink It is based upon the college game “beer pong” but no alcohol is involved, allowing the concept to work in family oriented venues. See how many ping pong balls you can “sink” into the red solo cups before the clock runs out!)
