When Miss America 2022 Emma Broyles took to the stage at the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo and Convention Center in Uncasville for one of her remaining moments as the national titleholder, the former Miss Alaska paid tribute to the many Miss Americas that came before her.
But she did it in style, literally.
The gown she wore on stage, which was created by “Project Runway” alumnus Aaron Michael featured the face of the many women who wore the Miss America crown before Broyles won the title during the organization’s 100th anniversary.
Later that evening on Dec. 15, Broyles would crown her successor, Grace Stanke of Wisconsin.
