Kultuur used the collection it presented at “Life in Color: Motherland” to demonstrate that African creativity does not necessarily need to manifest itself in solely in folk-influenced fashion. The collection shown in Norwalk on Feb. 26 was a contemporary and colorful affair that would look very on point in the streets some of the urban cultural centers of the continent such as Lagos, Nigeria (home of the famed Nollywood).
Kultuur’s collection was topped off with some stylish and funky eyeglass frames created by Khandie Woo.
“Life in Color: Motherland” was presented by Chasity Aniece Productions.
