Five teens and 26 women vying for Miss Connecticut Teen USA and Miss Connecticut USA took to the stage at the Marriott Hartford/Windsor Airport hotel in Windsor on Saturday night for the preliminary competitions for the state crown.
The teens will vie for the crown currently held by Mya Xeller of North Haven. The Miss contestants are looking to succeed Cynthia Dias of Wolcott.
The finals were scheduled for Sunday, April 16 in Windsor at 4 p.m.
The contestants are being judged on a private interview, fitness and evening gown.
