The most action-packed and dynamic male revue extravaganza in Las Vegas, Aussie Heat is one of the buzzed about new shows in “Sin City.”
Featuring an unbelievably talented cast of chiseled, bronzed, and charismatic performers, Aussie Heat is set distinctly apart from standard “strip shows” in the fact that its cast is comprised solely of “Dancers that CAN strip, not strippers that CAN’T dance.”
Found in the heart of the dazzling, bustling “Classic Vegas” — Fremont Street– Aussie Heat holds court in a striking, multimillion dollar theater complex called Notoriety, which houses several spaces that frequently host EDM nights, themed mixers, and corporate events.
I was afforded the opportunity to fully experience Aussie Heat and provide an inside scoop regarding what to expect.
Joined by Backstage Pass photographer, Lynn, and my adventure-loving grandmother, Ramona, I was escorted into the technicolor ballroom by the debonair Lenny (the show’s emcee and a featured dancer) who showed me to my seat as I prepared for the nearly two-hour show that was to follow.
A palpable sense of energy and excitement pulsated throughout the packed theater, and the show opened with a spectacular display of pop and lock choreography, a set during which the already scantily clad dancers disrobed further, much to the delight of the many ladies (and some gentlemen) in attendance.
The cast, the majority of whom are theater and/or dance majors with extensive and wildly impressive resumes, exhibited tremendous skill, seamlessly transitioning between hip hop, isolated movement, classical, and other forms of dance in a new-age form of theatrical entertainment.
Screens featuring scenes of several iconic pop culture moments, music videos, and movies (included the beloved “Dirty Dancing”) played as backdrops or interludes between dance numbers, and perhaps one of the largest draws to this extravaganza is the extremely interactive format.
Green wristbands (good for unlimited lap dances) are available at the start of the show, and the hunky dancers make their way into the crowd at numerous portions of the show to show some love to the audience with some special, extra steamy personal dances.
The vibe during the evening of our attendance was absolutely electric.
Audience members are pulled up onstage during numerous portions of the show during themed segments.
Even I was pulled onstage during an outrageously fun segment where two incredibly handsome and skilled members of the cast: Emcee, Lenny, and Jake Johnson, practiced a few brand-new dance moves on me!
The dancers, warm, personable and extremely inclusive, approached my grandmother numerous times, politely asking if she would like a lap dance (she respectfully declined…a decision I suspect she might have later regretted).
A perfect outing for birthdays, girls’ night out, and bachelorette parties, Aussie Heat is a sexy, uproarious show that will stay with you long after the curtain draws and give you fantastic memories that you and your friends will remember for many years to come.
