Stationed within the bustling, wildly popular Branson Craft Mall, the Pickin’ Porch Grill has gained notoriety among both locals and tourists alike as one of the best family owned and operated, down home barbecue restaurants in the entire state of Missouri.
Pickin’ Porch Grill’s ardently devoted fan base are not the only ones who deem the beloved local favorite eatery as the undisputed “best in the business,” as The Pickin’ Porch Grill was most recently named by a top media outlet as “The Best Family Restaurant in Missouri,” a much deserved award that sets this delightful restaurant distinctly apart from the rest.
The Pickin’ Porch Grill is owned and operated by serial entrepreneur, Mark Pearman, who not only owns and operates the Branson Craft Mall, but also manages his own storage company and performs as a part of the acclaimed Presley’s Country Jubilee Band.
The laid-back, lighthearted, and extremely hospitable atmosphere creates the perfect setting for a family-fun lunch or dinner outing, and during our visit, numerous families were joyfully celebrating special occasions, including a little girl who was enjoying live music as she rang in her 9th birthday.
One of the many elements– other than some of the highest quality food and most amiable customer service you’ll find in the city of Brandon– that makes Pickin’ Porch Grill so special, is the live music guests Kathy and the Porch Band, led by Kathy Pearman, Mark’s highly talented and stunning wife.
Kathy and the Porch Band play beautiful renditions of some of the most popular country hits throughout the decades by artists such as Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Jr. as well as more contemporary genre bending chart toppers.
We were afforded the opportunity to return to this beloved Branson BBQ establishment to highlight some of the very “best of the best” offerings from the highly expansive menu which you absolutely must try during your upcoming visit!

An assortment of sodas, coffee, and sweet /unsweetened tea are available to accompany your meal (s) of choice. Lynn, our resident sweet tea connoisseur, highly recommended Pickin’ Porch’s freshly brewed, robust, southern-style sweet tea.
APPETIZER:
Pulled pork fries (a generous pile of fries covered with melted jack/cheddar cheese, tender pulled pork, baked beans, jalapeños. Green onions, and sour cream.)
ENTREES:
Catfish Tacos: Crispy fried 100 % catfish piled on three corn tortillas, topped with lettuce, and tomato, and house avocado sauce).
Crispy Chicken Salad: This healthy entree option offers crispy chicken served on a bed of mixed greens, with tomatoes, onions, shredded cheese, and croutons. Numerous dressings are available, served on the side upon request.
