Faustina Fashion’s collection at Runway 7 during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 7 offered a bit of sartorial time travel.
At Sony Hall in Manhattan, there were influences generated by the 18th century French aristocracy. I got some Zoot suit vibes from Faustino’s garments. There was a touch of the Paisley one, 1980s-era Prince. And there was a good deal of modern gender fluidity as men wore corsets and women wore slacks.
