Art, music and fashion will be the key ingredients for excitement and fundraising on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Hartford’s 3W Management will take fashion fans up I-91 to Springfield, Mass. from 2-6 p.m. to help raise funds to help Connecticut Children’s in Hartford combat cancer.
“Get ready to be inspired by stunning fashion displays, showcasing the latest trends and designs,” said Joseph Wade, principal for 3W. “From elegant evening gowns to edgy streetwear, there will be something for everyone. Witness the fusion of art and fashion as talented artists showcase their work, adding a unique touch to the event and raising awareness while doing something they love.”
Wade’s fashion brand Society 21, which was recently shown at Atlantic City Fashion Week, and Heartless Vintage will team up for the style display portion of the fund raiser. Event sponsors are EBS (Ethic Beauty Supplies) in Springfield and C4 energy drinks.
“Cancer awareness and support is a key component in my life,” said Wade when asked why he organized the fundraiser. “My team and I have come face-to-face with the struggle and life-to-life changes that cancer holds. If we can come together and help someone with cancer in any way then our mission is complete. One step at a time.”
Wade continued, “Bringing people together to support such a great cause is amazing in so many ways. When bringing different artist passions and talents into the light in a way that can help others, It can truly touch the hearts of others and inspire them. Working together to make a difference shows others that they are not alone.”
Paige Worrell, who is a model and Miss Teen Atlantic County in New Jersey, Daviana Plaza, who also is a model and East Coast USA Miss Connecticut Grand Supreme, will be special guests on the runway. Wade said they will showcase their own pageant platforms at the event as well as lend their voices to the fight against cancer.
On Oct. 6, Worrell and Plaza gathered at EBS’s showroom on Boston Road in Springfield, Mass. with Wade and Society 21 to help promote the Oct. 28 show. As part of their visit, the two titleholders gathered for an impromptu fashion shoot in crown and sash and Society 21 fashions.
Wade said the cancer benefit on Saturday, Oct. 28 is intended to be more than one-and-done project. “The goal is to make this event a yearly event where fashion meets a great cause. Fashion, art, music all provide a great voice and platform to advocate for others.”
The 3W Cancer Benefit will be held Saturday, Oct. 28 from 2-6 p.m. at EBS, 1168 Boston Road, Springfield, Mass.
