The countdown is on for Miss Connecticut’s Teen Emily Anastasio. The Miss America’s Teen preliminary competition will be held Jan. 9 at the Walt Disney Theater in Orlando, Fla. And the finals are on Jan. 13.
Emily’s family and friends and the Miss Connecticut Scholarship Organization’s Board of Director gathered in Sunday on Dec. 16 to wish the Meriden teen the best of lucky as she vies for the national crown.
At the afternoon event, Emily took time to pose for photographs with well-wishers and she took the podium to cite along list of thank yous to those who made her achievements thus far possible. She also offered a “top secret” sneak peak of her evening gown.
Emily is currently attending Springfield College as a freshman.
