Nestled deep within the woods on a remote, backwoods road in the quaint little town of Warm Springs, Ga , Nightmare on 190 offers an intense, hair-raising, and undeniably terrifying walk-through haunted experience, featuring frightfully curated sets, 32 eerily costumed actors, and spooky audio elements.
Born from the “twisted” (his words) mind of creative director, Matt Roach, Nightmare on 190 is specially designed to bring guests face-to-face with all of their worst nightmares, from evil clowns to flesh eating zombies, chainsaw wielding rednecks to sinister banshees and more.
Featuring a sprawling trail, complete with a staggering array of haunted house-style enclosures, each filled with spine tingling audio—visual effects including strobe lights, smoke machines, electro-shock wave sights and sounds, and nearly every grim and evil character you could imagine, lurking and looming around each corner.
This contact free attraction (just a reminder: don’t touch them, and they won’t touch you!) is remarkably unique in that it features noteworthy and recognizable horror movie villains (such as Halloween’s notorious knife toting antagonist Michael Myers), original characters , and animatronics, all blending together to create a highly unforgettable experience that will remain with you long after your tour.
Enthusiasts of haunted houses and the horror genre flock from across the year annually to experience this acclaimed attraction, and each season offers a completely different walk through experience, with fresh designs, brand new characters, and exciting updated adrenaline pumping frights that you absolutely must experience for yourself in order to believe.
I spotlighted Nightmare on 190 in 2022 and was afforded the opportunity to walk through on opening night in 2024 to provide guests an exclusive sneak peek inside the walls of one of Georgia’s most irresistibly scary and undeniably unique haunted attractions.
One of our many favorite elements of this haunted experience includes witnessing and documenting first-hand the other guests’ (largely over the top ) reactions, and this year’s guests certainly did not disappoint with hysterical screams, attempts to use one another as human shields to fend off the spooks, and big “tough guys” taking off running from the chainsaw swinging mad men, leaving their girlfriends behind to fend for themselves.
A perfect outing for friends, families (due to the intense nature and some disturbing visuals, this experience is not recommended for very young children ), or even couples looking for a bloody good date night idea, Nightmare on 190 is sure to become your standing Halloween tradition.
