Appetito Craft Pizza and Wine Bar, located inside the beautiful Outrigger Paradise Waikīkī Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, is the premier destination for artful appetizers, artisan pizzas, satisfying entrees, and decadent desserts, not to mention an exciting roster of tropical cocktails and “mocktails.”

Nestled in the bustling heart of Honolulu, Appetito has established a reputation among locals and tourists alike for its extensive and impressive selection of international wines, mouth-watering array of pizzas and exceptional deals on happy hour spirits and starters.

Accompanied by Kei Segawa, resident expert on all things Hawaii (Instagram @kei.Segawa), I checked out the best menu items and libations that you must try during your upcoming visit.

While selecting only a few items from the vast wine and cocktail menu was certainly no easy feat, below are a few of our standout choices (Nearly every delightful cocktail option can be prepared “virgin” for guests who would like the cocktail experience without the associated “buzz”):

International Wine Flight: Featuring a multi-assortment of world class wines including Penfold’s Shiraz, Aviana Red Blend and Contrade Neroamaro.

Limoncello Lemon Drop Cocktail: This cultural staple, most frequently served around the Amalfy Coast and Bay of Naples, features tangy lemon zest, potent and palatable liqueur served chilled and best enjoyed either pre or post meal to cleanse the palette. )

Waikiki Sunrise: Fruity and infused with an exciting and refreshing blend of orange and pine apple flavors, this drink boasts  an ombré orange hue reminiscent of a peaceful Waikiki sunrise.

Watermelon Lime Mojito: Featuring fresh mint, squeezed lime  juice, simple syrup, and club soda with a splash of refreshing watermelon

Blue Hawaiian: Pineapple juice, cream of coconut and just a splash of lemon juice all blend beautifully for an alcohol-free take on this blue-hued quintessential vacation classic.

APPETIZERS:

Portobello Fries: Flash-fried portobello mushrooms served with pesto aioli; an undisputed Appetito favorite.

Tuscan Hummus: White Bean Puree with rosemary garlic, sesame, and toasted pita bread.

Gnocchi alla Gorgonzola: Moloka’i sweet potato gnocchi in a creamy Gorgonzola sauce, sprinkled with nutmeg, topped with Italian parsley.

PIZZAS:

Margherita: San Marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella and Grana Padano. Garnished with fresh basil.

Boquerones: White anchovy, mozzarella, and bell pepper with Italian Parsley.)

ENTREES:

Mushroom Cheese Risotto: Risotto with mixed mushrooms and Grana Padano cheese, truffle aroma.

Homemade bolognese with pappardelle: Homemade beef ragu sauce with pappardelle pasta.

Skillet Lemon Chicken: Tender and flavorful grilled free range chicken with potatoes. Served with a side of lemon butter caper sauce.
